One Moorgate Place

About us

The building

One Moorgate Place is a characterful Grade II listed building which is packed with original features. We offer high-spec conferencing facilities, modern spacious meeting rooms and a range of elegant spaces for private dining and events.

Until recently One Moorgate Place Restaurant, located in the basement of Chartered Accountants' Hall was open to the public and was awarded a certificate of excellence from Trip Advisor, 2015. The restaurant closed on 12.06.2015 to accomodate the two year Chartered Accountant's Hall refurbishment programme. The venue is still operating as normal and the hospitality team will continue to deliver high quality food via the banqueting menus.

The building was designed by Victorian architect Sir John Belcher RA and built in 1890. The exterior features a carved stone frieze by Hamo Thorneycroft and the interior includes works of art by Eduardo Paolozzi, Gerald Benney and John Piper.

One Moorgate Place takes part in London’s Open House programme, which allows entry to the public for a few days each year. The building is also known as Chartered Accountants’ Hall and is headquarters to ICAEW.
