A celebration to remember

The stunning architectural details and decorative features in One Moorgate Place make it a beautiful and romantic setting for your wedding reception. It is also a popular choice for other special occasions, such as birthdays and Bar Mitzvahs.

The building has an imposing entrance and grand staircase leading up to a suite of rooms which are all beautifully decorated. For a large party, we recommend that you book both the Main Reception room and the Great Hall, which are adjoined.

Light streams through the stained glass windows in the Main Reception room, making it a perfect location for photographs. The room features a high domed ceiling, and bold stone columns which support semi-circular galleries with stone balustrades. An English glass chandelier hangs from the dome, and the walls and ceiling are richly covered with frescoes painted in 1913–14 by George Murray.

Costs and packages

Hire of the Great Hall and Main Reception room for a Saturday event costs £3,200 (room hire is exempt from VAT). There is a surcharge of £800 for events on a Sunday. Your guests can arrive from 5pm, and we ask that they leave before midnight.

We also offer a range of competitively-priced wedding reception packages which include a drinks reception, dinner, decoration and entertainment.
