The man behind the menu

Gavin Dunn

Like all great head chefs, Gavin Dunn is an obsessive foody whose passion for quality ingredients means he is often to be found browsing food markets before dawn. Gavin prides himself in sourcing the freshest ingredients from local farms and sustainable waters.

Gavin trained in London in 1995 and worked as a sous chef here at One Moorgate Place from 2000–2003, before moving on to broaden his culinary skills at top City restaurants, including JP Morgan and Marsh.

Gavin returned to One Moorgate Place Restaurant as Head Chef in 2009, determined to make his mark and put the restaurant on the map.

Happily for us, Gavin has a real flair for creating delicious European cuisine. But like most Brits, he admits that his favourite dish in the whole world is curry!
