Nordic Tasting Evening

One Moorgate Place recently took Searcys on as their caterers and they have been wowing us with a few new items to add to our menus, one of which is a Nordic tasting station. From a whole smoked salmon to pickled herring, the station focusses on traditional cooking and preserving methods. So we decided to showcase it to some of our clients, there was some trepidation because fish doesn’t always have the best reputation but they were pleasantly surprised. The event didn’t just put the food to the fore, but our chefs. Our team were out of the kitchen live plating and talking about the ingredients to our clients.

We also had a wine tasting session from our suppliers Berkmann Wine. Luigi, their representative took us through their offering at One Moorgate Place and gave us suggestions of what we should pair out wine with. We were surprised by a delicious rose, you could almost imagine sipping on it on a summer’s day. Our wines have been specially chosen to complement our evening menus to ensure the best flavours are brought out by the perfect wine, our event co-ordinators can guide you on the best pairing for your next event.
