Traditionally pancakes were eaten on Shrove Tuesday to use up the ingredients in the pantry in preparation for their Lenten fast. Usually pancakes are made with eggs, flour, milk and salt, but we’ve added a few other ingredients to make them even more tasty. We've already given this recipe a go as a team and they are delicious, the toppings we used were creme freche, raspberries and blueberries and a little bit of maple syrup.
1 apple coarsely grated
1 large egg
1.5cup self raising flour
1 cup of milk
Mix all ingredients until well combined and cook with a little butter in non-stick pan.
