Fluffy Pancakes from One Moorgate Place

Key Ingredients 

  • 150g plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 250g milk
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

 

Method 

Combine sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.  Make an indent in the middle of the bowl and add the egg,  melted butter, milk and vanilla essence. Use a whisk of you're choice and stir ingredients until a smooth batter is formed. Let it sit so the baking powder can activate and your pancakes can become extra smooth and fluffy once cooked. 

 

In the meantime, take a non-stick pan and let it warm up on the stove. When hot,  add a knob of butter. Then take a ladle and add batter to the pan. Cook for one minute then flip. Continue this method until all your pancakes are done. 

 

Set aside and garnish with maple syrup, forest fruits, cream or Nutella for an added kick!
