French Toast


Why not treat yourself to something flavoursome and fancy with our French Toast, served with fresh berries, maple syrup and Creme fraiche?

Excellent for a lazy breakfast or something quick, filling and delicious to serve you and your family this weekend? 



  • 2 eggs
  • 50g caster sugar 
  • 75 ml of milk of your choice
  • 50 ml double cream
  • Vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2  tsp cinnamon
  • Brioche bread (or any other bread of your choice)
  • Butter


For toppings:

  • Cup of fresh or frozen mixed berries
  • A spoonful of Creme Fraiche
  • 2 tsp of Maple Syrup 
  • Icing sugar for dusting 
  • Bacon for an extra salty crunch! 



Beat the eggs and add sugar, vanilla essence, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and cream together. Lay the brioche in the mixture and leave to soak for
around 5 minutes. Make sure you turn it during this time for optimum soakage!

Grab some cooking oil and heat a pan. Carefully take the brioche out of the creamy mixture and shallow fry in the oil  until golden. Leave the brioche to cook for around 2 minutes each side until crisp.

Add your toppings including fresh berries, creme fraiche, maple syrup and icing sugar and serve whilst warm!
