Getting to know you: Peter Footitt

Born in Grantham, Peter, at the age of 13 moved to France with his family, this is where he developed his passion for chocolate and cooking.

Whilst in France, Peter trained in restaurants for 5 years including time spent at 3 Michelin starred Relais Bernard Loiseau near Dijon.

After moving back to the UK in 2013, Peter started work at the Ritz London. He worked his way up through the ranks and by the time he left the Ritz in 2018, he was running the bakery kitchen as well as heading up afternoon tea production for over 400 people every day.

Peter started working at One Moorgate Place in April 2017 where he works as the pastry chef.

Peter has a passion for all things pastry, however his interest in chocolate-work is growing.

During his daily recipe development work, he has recently designed a range of petit fours for use within the One Moorgate Place business. It is off the back of this that Peter came up with the idea to make bespoke Easter eggs for our customers here at One Moorgate Place.
